I'm starting to wonder if McVay is difficult to work for?
I'm a big McVay fan so this isn't intended in a negative way ...just curious?
I mean all these posts about how unfair it is having our coach's poached....but man they seem more than willing to be poached.
I get upward advancing your career but these guys sure seem fast to leave.
I've never heard rumor over this
but McVay does strike me as a micro manager(not necessarily a bad thing) but it just makes me wonder if coach's are fleeing because they don't have freedom to coach their positions ....I think the HC should have a hand in everything but if he's prickly or over bearing thst could be part of a problem
I suspect three things could be at play here in this McVay staff poaching: 1) there probably is a degree of difficulty working for McVay, 2) people naturally want promotions, and 3) the NFL powers that be hold McVay in high regard and want the people trained under him.
I don't see any of the three as necessarily being negative.
On #1, everything we've read about McVay says that he has an extremely high standard of excellene for everyone including himself. That type of leader can be difficult to work for and I don't see that as being a shot at him. Everyone is not willing to meet that standard.
And #2 and #3 are both either natural or positives.
