And most of these are fairly obvious.
First, he's under contract for another year. If you cut him you save 920k. To replace him with a veteran it would cost this:
0 (Zero) Credited Seasons: $610,000
1 Credited Season: $675,000
2 Credited Seasons: $750,000
3 Credited Seasons: $825,000
4 to 6 Credited Seasons: $910,000
7+ Credited Seasons: $1,050,000
Those were the vet mins from the 2020 season. So the odds of you finding a better player at a vet minimum is slim to none, and considering the Rams cap situation, they won't be bringing in anyone expensive.
If you look at the draft, it would have to be a 2nd or 3rd rounder again, and there are no slam dunks at edge that will be better than Obo from day 1. And if they are, great, Obo is depth then.
If you want to replace him, by all means, explain realistically how you would do that with no cap room or #1 draft pick. If you want to replace him with a 4th year jag, fine, but don't expect any real production upgrade.
