I agree with Nate. First with the defense it probably doesn't matter. Secondly, if Goff is 100% and doesn't start, that's the ultimate lack of trust and you ruin the relationship him as Philly has with Wentz.
I don't think McVay is ready to do that even if he did have doubts on Goff. My bet is the soonest the Rams would be ready to turn the page on Goff is after the season review with Snead and McVay deciding player personnel strategy going forward.
So even if deep down inside McVay felt that Wolford gives you a 5% chance of winning, I bet he still goes with Goff for political reasons.
