Perhaps, but I didn't see a very accurate passer yesterday. Maybe (and likely) that was because that was his first burn in a real game, but I thought most of his passes weren't where they needed to be (most passes to Everett) or were late (1st qtr. bomb to VJ). Funny how his best pass of the day (requiring Everett to make a play for him) was treated as a hand grenade by the TE.
These comments aren't meant to take a dump on Wolford as I DO believe that he played well (well enough for our defense to win the game for us). But I don't think he was just giving our WR's opportunities to make plays. Most of that was contested receptions due to inaccurate passes.
That's a possible perspective as well.
I guess my original post was meant to be more about how Goff is reluctant to pull the trigger, where Wolford seemed less so. Not necessarily about the quality of the passes themselves. I'm not in the dump Goff for Wolford camp, but Wolford seemed a whole lot less "tight" than the Goff I've seen of late.
Goff at his best is better than Wolford at his best.
I suspect Wolford at his best is better than Goff at his worst.
I guess the question is whether Wolford at his best is better than Goff at his mediocre?
(I don't even want to know what Wolford at his worst looks like)
