Hopefully all of this mess leads to Goff doing whatever it takes to up his game. I think it's clear he has pretty high character but this question of complacency has me wondering about his motivation. He set up a passing camp this off season for he and his receivers so he's at least somewhat motivated/dedicated. But laid back only works when you're putting up numbers. I don't think you can be too casual when you're kind of middling or worse.
I also feel like guys that are more physically talented don't always work as hard as guys who have to make up for measurables shortcomings. McVay doesn't seem to be asking Marino-like responsibilities and production from his QB and as scaled back as the current offense it, if Wolford just avoids mistakes, we should be fine.
