You don't want to strengthen your opponent, but if we could swap compensation received for compensation given for Sam Darnold, I wouldn't immediately say no myself, although suspecting may others would. Or how about swap Darnold for Goff straight up and keep him from our division rivals ?
Not a homerun suggestion I know, but I would not be disappointed myself to see what Darnold could do coming home myself.
If Gase is fired, then everyone on that team is not safe, including Darnold even though they will probably miss out on Lawrence.
