Just thinking (writing) out loud the day after...

Speaking just for myself my frustration is still more about the Jets than the Seahawks. The game yesterday could have unfolded the exact same way but had they beaten the Jets soundly the week before as they should and were 10-5 I think I'd feel differently. I thought the Rams would be 11-5 this year and I still look at the Jets game as why they won't. Just me.

Is Seattle potentially the better wildcard matchup for them though (vs. being the 3 seed and facing Tampa)?

I think the Rams' OL is physically wearing down. Can't point to specifics or individuals but just seems that way.

I don't know what the cause(s) of it is but this entire offense now operates within 10 yards of the LOS and teams know it.

They really missed Akers and his physicality yesterday. And when Henderson went out the running game was toast (no offense, Malcolm).

The dropped INT by Williams early on was a bad sign and a killer. I think that would have been 6....

But ultimately that INT (easily the worst throw by Goff since 2016) was just a dagger. Turned a sure 9-3 halftime lead into 6-6 and I think the writing was on the wall.

Kudos to Floyd and Johnson who both continue to play well- and both will be elsewhere in 2021 (netting the Rams high comp. picks in 2022).

Special teams: I liked Webster for a while but it was the right move finally pulling him as the PR. It's great that they finally found a quality kicker on their 3rd attempt this year. Fixing ST for 2021 cannot be understated as a need. As I've said many times a real Super Bowl contender does not have to be top-10 in everything but they can't be bottom-10 in anything.

I still think this is a top-10 team but I don't say that with any enthusiasm today.
