You didn't answer my question what was Russel wilson pressure rate?
Russell Wilson is one of the 2 or 3 rare qbs who could still make plays under extreme pressure. So he's no standard, he's an exception. And even then we have seen the Rams completely unravel Wilson and make him play poorly--because while he's usually the exception it's not limitless.
Name all the other qbs who do well under extreme pressure, besides Wilson and Brady. Is it a long list? (Actually when I ask this people invariably have no answer whatsoever.) We've even seen the Rams pressure Mahomes into poor play.
It's amazing to me that there are devoted football fans don't see what a constant, high pressure rate does to qbs. That's a football 101 basic. That's why we paid Donald.
There was the exact same discussion in 2007. That year the Rams OL fell apart at an unprecedented level. Guys signed off the street during the season were starting for replacements who got injured after replacing starters. And, there were always people who put it all entirely on the qb. One pretty vocal theory was that Bulger was playing badly because after signing his big contract in 2006, he just didn’t care any more. Responding that no qb plays well under those conditions was often called “making excuses.” You would say, look at how badly the OL is doing and for some odd reason it didn't click with them.
