Three of our losses were against bad teams. And I mean really bad teams who were missing key players even.
Is this the McVay kryptonite? Does he not get his team ready against obvious win games? Seems he prepares the team well for Seattle and Tampa Bay, but seems to take for granted to crappy teams. It needs to end, but it is such a long established pattern it concerns me.

Miami turned out to be a better team than people thought they would be when the Rams first played them. But they were certainly seen as a weak team when the Rams played them. In fact one of the reasons people thought SF was so weak as a team when the Rams played them is that Miami had beaten them.
I don;t think the same scenario holds for the 2nd SF game. But I do think the Rams openly and visibly came out flat against the Jets, SF in their 1st game, and Miami.
The Giants too though the Rams held on and won that one.
I;ve said this several times so here goes again. This is a young team. I think coming out flat has as much to do with individual preparation during the week as anything else. I don't like the idea of a young team reading its own press during the week. They have to learn that teams will line up to give them their best shot. No team has rolled over and come out flat for the Rams all season.
And yes some of this is on McVay. McVay has a great strategic mind but he does not always seem to have great instincts or a great feel for situations. But then he's young too.
