I cannot recall the game that was being shown here in Jacksonville for the late game. But I do recall them doing a "Game Break" when ED had his long run and for the Slater/ Gastineau skirmish. When OUR game ended, Jacksonville got bonus coverage of the Rams / Jets. As the Jets game winner went through the uprights or right after, it was the OOOOOONLY time I popped of at the mouth towards my Mom. She DEEEEEEEEEEEESPISED football and sports in general. I had JUST began to stew over the loss, the Postgame show was on when Mom came in and started rambling about how stupid football was and if that was all my Dad and I were concerned about that day etc etc... I have NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO idea what came over me but I snapped with.. "WOULD YOU SHUT...UP????" Mom's eyes got big as saucers and she started towards me. I BOLTED out the Den door and outside. I stayed outside for about 10-15 minutes to give Mom time and ME time to cool. I went inside and apologized. When I sat back down in the Den, my Dad was in his recliner. He calmly looked over and said..... " I totally get it!........................................But don't EVER talk to your Mom like that."
LOLOLOLOL It's why I REALLY crack up when I see the Comic, Sinbad's story on back talking his Mom when she told him to cut the grass.
