As much as Goff threw the ball against AZ, it was strangely more like McVay took away his decision making to some degree. Which IMO, would work against the likes of SF, NE, etc. Get the ball out quickly and let the playmakers make plays. They didn't do anything particularly amazing against the Cardinals they just focused on "positive" plays. Very few, if any, chunk plays but always 3-5 yards. Whether it was run or pass, it was always moving forward. Goff wasn't sitting back there looking around or spending a bunch of time before the snap trying to read the defense. It was just get the play, get to the line and take your positive gain.
Obviously, Belichick is going to try and take that away but it seems like the same principle should work for the Rams. Goff may have to pop a couple of longer ones to keep the defense honest but I'd certainly try the same type of gameplan. Might as well keep using what worked until it's actually taken away.
