The guy has just been a bit lost though, missing big holes and stuff like that. He's missed things that left points on the field like what would have been a TD run as he dutifully followed his lead block into a stacked part of the line. Ironically his pass pro has been pretty good and that's something people tend to knock him on but PFF has gotten that right. However his actual vision and instincts have been shaky at best.
Brown meanwhile has been doing the same thing though. So I keep mentioning this but McVay for some reason seems to think his RB Coach is a godsend even though he is screwing him over by trotting Brown out there. Brown does some things right, but he also induces errors, lines up wrong, runs DBs into the play, etc. He makes a load of mistakes when he's installed in plays where the pattern is required basically.
When the Rams finally get smart and give snaps to Akers as the bell cow with Hendy as a change of pace... THAT is when this offense will start getting a bit of a boost from the RB position. There is a chance that more snaps will get Akers rolling quicker. But that's tough to do when you don't want to reward guys for making mistakes in-game. Either way I do agree his time is coming soon and when it does things should pick up.
