The talk on this board is ridiculous of Goff. Of course he's struggling cause he's inconsistent.
Just chill
Goff is a lot more like Bulger than Warner. Warner was dealing with injuries and a somewhat viable replacement. Goff basically has no excuses. He isn't hurt, his OL is doing well, his receivers are healthy, he's got good coaching and a good scheme. I mean, other than his own limitations, what is Goff dealing with?
I love Warner, favorite Ram of all time, but ummmm....he was stocking shelves at 24 years old, not taking a team to a Super Bowl like Goff did.
Warner has admitted he wasn't ready for NFL at 24 years old....Warner was 28 when he finally got his shot....... Let's see where Goff is at 28 in a couple more years from now
BTW, you can go back and look it up yourself, but Goff's numbers and inconsistency are right there with the best of them (Manning, Brees, Brady, etc) in their first five years in NFL
Not sure the age thing is going to hold much longer. He is still relatively young in age but he is not young in experience. Goff was definitely blessed with more physical advantages than Warner but I don't think that is a path one wants to take with Goff.
Warner is the all-time king of overacheivers while Goff is starting to look like guy who has all the tools but doesn't do anything with them.
I don't agree that Manning and Brees were in the same boat as Goff at the same point in their careers.
