Yesterday, was not the last (straw) one. Your last straw was determined long before that. I can repost your post every week or day and find several that confirm as much but thats ok.
You always confuse me because you expect so little of Goff and you think that Jimmy's backup was a legitimate test for our defense? Perhaps he has a better coach? Perhaps he has better personnel or just the better execution on the day but our offense was not great on the day and that was not all Goff.
Either way we had the opportunity to win the game on defense despite Goff's play or critical misses that you have focused on. We had some critical drops and we had players not looking for the ball either which announcers clearly mentioned but you may not have been listening at the time or were listening to another broadcast team.
I also suspect we had some folks not where they should be in the course of the play but unlike the Miami game I just did not feel it was as much on Goff this week. I hate we lost to 9ers. I hate that we have a QB that is not able to elevate the play of his teammates at this stage of his career. I don't know if he will be as great as I had hoped but I honestly believe he is still a good developing QB who is a tremendous weapon often when we need it most. I see a lot of things that make me wonder if we could be better than our record says and I just can't conclude at this time that it all lies at Jared's feet or even begins there yet. Our Running game is way too disappointing to me for me to focus on Goff's every errant pass (although I do get frustrated when one is missed). Our WRs are open one game or catching everything then invisible and barely separating in the next. To highlight a single play where one is wide open is legit in itself but does not account for the times they are not because they are knocked off course or slip up. Unfortunately, we rarely get that analized. You know what, I rather have this problem and debate than the problems of teams not in contention.
