Along with the corona situation, I was curious at how hard it is to assess college players without the high stressors of having 70K fans creating the environment that is the norm for a game.
Has to be hard, one would think, to get a true sense of how these kids will translate their talents to the next level?
And is there a position that really suffers from the lack of a crowd
Defensive edge guys who use that crowd energy to fuel their drive?
OL guys who don't have to deal with hearing their QB, get their line changes, or plain calamity of distracting voices, motion, and all?
and.....just to add another round of cheers to these guys in the last game......
Love seeing the short ball to the wide side, and instantaneous reaction by our defenders. Group pursuit! The word "decapitated" leapt from my lips more than once, as the Rams flew to the ball in that quadrant and shipwrecked plays.
And back to Troy Hill? Never seen him inside the box, with them big boys battling to bring players down. Kind of unreal, kind of dangerous for such a small dude, yet thoroughly enjoyable.
For me, the play of Robert Woods continues to impress. Always looking to help a play be better: Block it, catch it, decoy it.....and break it open. A real gem that guy
