McVay/Goff were simply taking what the D gave them.

At the end, that conservative 3rd and 8 call disappointed all of us, I bet. But McVay felt that the FG would be enough to defeat the ‘20 version of Brady given this elite Staley D.

Turns out he was right.

Hard to criticize the Coach when he’s right and we win.
