McVay seems to be an outstanding coach. He's media savvy and has a great football IQ. He's positive and the team seems to respond.
Goff had a terrible rookie year. I wanted the Rams to draft Goff, but after his rookie year I was cursing Fisher for not picking Wentz.
He mentored Goff from a below average QB to an acceptable one. He rode Gurley to the playoffs his first year as a coach. If Fisher coached one more year with the Rams Goff wood probably riding the pine, traded to another team, or out of the league.
I wish we would of has a healthy Gurley and Kupp in the Super Bowl. He may of one a Super Bowl his 2nd year.
Last year with Gurley injured (and disgruntled) the Rams were ineffective with Goff for the majority of the season. Cutting Gurley and Cooks, need signing Littleton and Fowler. Letting Phillips go.
This year. Your star player is cut, as well as, your speed receiver. Goff could no longer be propped by Gurley. I was expecting a 8-8 season as best.
After the Miami debacle I thought the Rams were in big trouble. Thank God for the bye week.
The offense was much improved against the Hawks. The Rams relied more heavily on the run and beat the Hawks and the great Russel Wilson.
McVay is special. Two weeks after the Miami meltdown he put the game on his inept QB back throwing 51 times and only rush 20. His game planning resulted in a victory over the GOAT for the first time and dismantled the Bucs top ranked defense.
