Not a good reflection on Bonamego, is it?
Bad decisions trickle down from the top, including the front office and the head coach.
Somewhat true, Dog.
But it’s also true that position coaches have input into acquisition decisions in their areas of responsibility AND are expected to get quick results, as well.
Last year Kromer was pilloried for OL shortcomings but this year he’s our hero.
O’Connell looked good early on with improved Goff fundamentals but not so much of late.
Staley is looking like a HR hire with his decisions on Floyd, Fuller, usage of Ramsey, Williams, reliance on young edge players vs Matthews, and rolling with Kiser instead of moving mountains to keep Littleton. The results have been amazing and we still haven’t seen ARob.
Then there’s Bonamego. Looks like he bungled the Sloman decision, used Kupp as a freaking PR with Webster on the bench, our coverage units have sucked, we’re on our 2nd kicker and might be looking for a third. WTF? I’m not laying the blame on Snead or McVay for ST shortcomings, that’s for sure.
I like the O’Connell hire a lot.
I LOVE the Staley hire.
But I’ve lost confidence in Bonamego and he’s really got to improve his ST results to win me over in these last 8 games, plus playoffs, hopefully. If he doesn’t, I’m more than ready to move on. Sorry, but I’m a results oriented kind of guy.
