What makes you assume McVay learned a lesson?
Do we really know the reasons Sloman won the job? It sounds like "favoritism" is an assumption on your part. But maybe there's a McVay statement that says, "I picked Sloman because he went to my college."
Most everybody on this board wanted Sloman gone 2 weeks before the was ditched. The Rams' brains were a little slow in seeing the obvious.
I'm glad we have McVay as a HC, but he isn't perfect. He is what his record says, and it says he's a damn site better than Fisher. My concern is that he's peaked. Some good and intelligent posters here feel that McVay is in Belichick's league, I feel that he's a level below, but he's still been a very good coach for us.
