I think they want both kickers to duel a bit in practice through the week. Forbath is not a guy you cut your kicker for unless he's really really bad. Sloman's got issues and probably isn't good enough but it's not cut and dried right now.

Now if he implodes vs Chicago (where we might really need him to hit some FGs) that makes the Rams' decision easy. But yeah I think the competition happens this week and Bonamego is probably going to have McVay looking over his shoulder.
