Staley, it appears, had a ton of confidence in his secondary and therefore chose to implement this strategy against the Eagles. We may see this again in some form against other run threat QB’s down the road. And there will be no shortage of those, huh?
The other thing is, honestly, a C for our ST was being kind. I’ll just leave it at that.
It worked against Wentz because her just wasn't very good and wee got 3 TOs. Let Wilson or Kyler Murray sit back there forever and they'll skewer any secondary, including the Rams' very good one.
