It's common knowledge that the NFL has a salary cap, the but league also has a floor. It's 89% of the cap averaged over a 4 year period. [

This year's cap is $198.2M. 89% of that is $176.4M. So that's more or less what this year's floor is.
Next year's floor is $175M
I doubt that $1.4M difference is going to mean much, especially when you consider that teams pretty much spend to the cap without regard to what the floor is. So until we find out what the cap is next year we really don't know how negotiations for 2021 contracts will be affected.
FWIW this article suggest that the cap will go up next year. [
www.profootballnetwork.com] And considering that th NFL and the NFLPA have already agreed to spread this year's revenue deficit over the next 4 years I bet it's right. (It says $200M. I'm betting on $210M.)
