I think you are not hearing baout winning because they are not being asked about winning they are being asked about the ramifications of the virus and all that entails. I imagine players for the most part would love for people to ask them a football question just so they do not have to think about the virus. I know if I was in their shoes and I planned to play I would want to talk about winning and playing
And of course...when they play games, they're not all going to be ties. There will be winners.
The reason it comes across that the virus is a big deal is because the virus IS a bigger deal than a game. You know who apparently did not believe that? The Marlins. And they now come across nationally as idiots.
