Everything you say makes a ton of sense, zn, and I agree that they’re probably planning to extend Ramsey.
But.....
Ramsey is supposed to be an elite player. And so far he hasn’t been THAT good. I mean, you mentioned him in the same sentence as AD, but has Ramsey really looked nearly as dominant at his position as AD at his? That’s a rhetorical question, of course.
I think that Ramsey has to LOOK like an $18-20M CB if he wants to be paid as such by the Rams. Rams have recently made tough decisions on Fowler, Littleton, Gurley, and Cooks when the bang for the buck just wasn’t there in a tight cap situation. Ramsey probably won’t be any different unless he starts looking like a truly elite player. Rams can do a helluva lot with those kind of cap savings.
