That's the first time I've seen it since that day. A friend of mine called me right after that play and asked me how I could pull for a team with him at quarterback. Saw a fellow Ram fan out at a bar about five years later (Rams fans are rare in Kentucky) and he said he almost quit following the team because Everett was the biggest QB in the League. Even John Madden said "Oh man, you gotta be tougher than that." Then of course the Jim Rome debacle.

I think Andre Waters nearly putting him in the hospital (Everett jumped up at the last second or he would have been Trent Greened) affected Everett.
