From what I have heard the next draft is way more deep and solid with OL
Like this draft where you were getting third round value in the 6th and 7th at WR, perhaps the plan is to restock next year.
This would mean a couple of things:
1. Whitworth holds up, and maybe plays two more years
2. Noteboom heals up and is able to play LT if Whit cannot
3. Someone fills the Center role. Blythe does well and gets resigned or someone else steps up.
4. If Center is not good, this would be a key FA target for 2021
5. RT seems like we have plenty to work with
6. RG seems like we have that spot locked up
7. LG wild card, hopefully someone takes this spot and never looks back. If not Corbett than maybe Evans or even the 7th rounder lat in the year.
8. If LG is not good no matter what we try, this would be another FA target.
So starting in 2021 we have either developed what we have in to a solid line and need to draft the next generation and depth, or we do not have a good line and need to sign a couple of FAs for 2021 and develop potential starters for 2022 or even late 2021. Either way, waiting for 2021 when there is a stronger OL class apparently, could work out just fine.
