He is too small. We've been down this road before with Tavon Austin.
Man, I hope someone gets this guy off the board by the end of the night.
5'-6". Just, wow.
He's not small he's short. Like Maurice Jones-Drew, who was 5-7, 210. Short with a thick frame means he can combine balance and some power with burst. Leverage. Compact, dense body.
Austin was 5-7, 179. Not the same thing.
CEH is 5-7, 207. He has 27 pounds on Austin.
As one write-up says of CEH, he's a "Compact, sudden back who runs low to the ground with power and balance to break tackles."
CEH is nothing remotely like Austin. Watch the play that starts at 2:27 on this vid (they show it a couple of times):
Maurice came back to De La Salle and worked out with the team for a few days. He was so impressive. When you see him up close and personal, he a ripped fireplug. You can barely take your eyes off his physicality. He is so thick with literally tree trunk thighs. And then, when he moves and does those quick cuts back and forth and then bursts up field. Wow! You do not want to run into that guy!
You can see the mismatch issues he creates. The DL has a hard time catching him and if they get him head on, they have to bend over to get to his level and they are at a disadvantage in terms of leveraged power and their ability to react to sudden directional shifts. And the DBs don't want him head on for obvious reasons.
He told my son once in awhile he can see a DB running toward him to get the angle and he just cuts back into the DB to run him over before the DB is prepared for the hit. He laughed and said it's fun to watch the DB's eyes light up!
