The Rams took things a step further in their trade for Jalen Ramsey, a player who was willing to embellish an injury and go to all lengths possible to get out of Jacksonville in-season. The Rams took him in, giving up a haul of picks in the process, despite having an uphill climb to reach the playoffs, and they missed. Byron Jones started to push the cornerback market back up in free agency and every other defensive back is now waiting to see what Ramsey squeezes out of L.A.

This is a huge-market team about to open a $5 billion new stadium and Ramsey is arguably the second-best player on the team. They are desperately short on picks the next few years, like the Texans, and thus cannot let this player go at any cost. The Rams also have history of drastically overpaying their own players, going back to their days in St. Louis (only the Falcons give them a run for their money in that department), which is not lost on those close to Ramsey, either. This is a complete exaggeration of the reality and it's the type of crap La Canfora constantly writes about the Rams. He has had a bug up his ass about the Rams for years.

Here is where Rams 2020 current allotment falls:

Round 2: No. 52 overall
Round 3: No. 84 overall
Round 3: No. 104 overall (compensatory)
Round 4: No. 126 overall
Round 6: No. 199 overall
Round 7: No. 234 overall

Here are the Projected 2021 Picks

Round 2
Round 3
Round 3 -Comp pick
Round 4- Comp pick
Round 6
Round 7

So they have 6 picks in each draft. 7 picks is the regular allotment. Snead is a master trader and could produce even more picks during both of those drafts, as he's done many times. It obviously hurts not having a #1 pick, but to describe the Rams as being "desperately short on picks" means you're either ignorant of the facts, or you have an agenda.

It could be both with La Canfora.
