. Who was the competition....A Blythe, Havenstein, Allen??? Whitworth was average at best, and not getting better at his age. Dont get me wrong, I like the guy, he is a leader and still ok player, but he is on the decline, and it is foolish to not anticipate a further decline and possible injury given his age.
I don't even know who is backup is? Maybe Noteboom who was injured last year? How many games has he actually played at LT....2? He was not good when he played Guard.
These are as much facts as your questionable assertion that Whitworth is still good.
