Some of it is speculation, some of it isn't.
The fact is that the Rams used around $16.75M of their 2020 cap to sign Floyd and Robinson when they could have used that cap space to keep NRC and Littleton instead. It isn't right to say that the Rams 'lost NRC and Littleton'. They could have kept them if they wanted to: they chose to let them go.
