Interesting off-season so far. Not a surprise, but interesting.
Please understand before I say this that I am a big AD fan and enjoy watching his dominance from his position. I also am not commenting on if his contract was correct or deserved. He is a great player and is being paid like one.
My thought is I feel the Rams decided they would be making tough decisions on many good players and starters on both sides of the ball when we decided we would pay him and carry his contract. I see many feel we are loosing this player to sign another this season, but I have felt ever since the time we were talking to AD that his signing would cost us other talent eventually. It is not without consideration that we may have been able to keep a few of these guys we are loosing if we had decided not to carry AD's salary.
No point really, just another perspective I have been mulling over.
