I know Wolford is a Ram but other than that, I don't think there's much there. He's the definition of JAG at QB IMO. But, if McVay chooses to dump Bortles and go with a relative unknown as the emergency plan, I'll reserve judgment. He knows what he's got much more than I do. But at 6'1" out of Wake Forest, I'm not inclined to be too excited about him.
IDK seem to have some sizzle to him and in the abbreviated games of the AAF league, he did a nice job. Very accurate and has the ability to extend plays with his legs, so I need to see more of him. You can always add someone else and I was a fan of Blake Bortles, but if Bortles signs elsewhere I'm willing to give Wolford and a draft choice an opportunity.
Yeah, I'm not married to having to have Bortles either and in general, I think McVay will make a good choice whoever he gets so I'm not worried about it. I just didn't see anything noteworthy out of Wolford and didn't even think he was the best of the AAF QB's. I mean, Perez actually looked decent at times but the more he plays, the more I see why he isn't sticking with an NFL team. I assume Wolford is the same. Put him against NFL competition and it'll likely be clear why he's a no-name.
