first, even if you could convince a team to trade a 1st for Ramsey for a 1+ yr deal, that means you traded a 1st AND a 3rd rd pick for 1+ year of Ramsey...when in my opinion it was pretty clear this team was not going to make a run at Super Bowl. They were 3-3, the O Line was the main problem, not the secondary. The trade made very little sense at the time. However, if you think Ramsey is a generational talent, and you want him and AD to be the nucleus for the next five years...ok, I can understand the logic if pushed.

But to now cut their losses and trade Ramsey for at best a 1st? That is simply bad management. This also brings to light the questionable decisions regarding Peters. I think these guys are just too cute with all the trades and recouping supplemental picks via these trades and such. The deals have really tied Rams hands in terms of salary dismissing the incredible value of high draft picks in exchange for trades for expensive veterans on the end of their deals. Watkins, Cooks, Ramsey, Fowler, etc..... Look, it almost worked, but we lost the Super Bowl, and I fear we are now getting further and further away from a return.

I hate not having high draft picks, that is how good teams are built...inexpensive, young talent on rookie deals. Now that we have paid Goff, Gurley, Cooks, AD, and soon Ramsey (hopefully), we are left with too many holes as article points out, and too few resources to address them.
