This whole article smells like a bit of a time filling exercise for a journalist!
As a front office, you'd be pillared if you traded Ramsey for just a 1st round pick and had therefore paid a 1st and 3rd for less than a years rental!! That would be madness.
What I don’t get is the trading for these high price players without doing a quick negotiation as to the contract demands.
And while I was not against the Ramsey trade (I am if they now trade him for anything less than they paid) and I know the draft is a roulette wheel, the cheap labour is a massive part of team building at a set cost.
Lastly, it has been touched on in some other posts recently, but the G Robinson pick never sat right. Assuming there were trade options, I would have loved to have started a snowball effect for years to come. Trade down a bit and pick up an extra 1st plus change. Then the next year try and do the same again and so on and on and on!!!
