going to exaggerate a bit here...
It almost seems to me that these days establishing the 'running game' isn't a play to play strategy confined to each individual game.. or even a series of games... but rather 'season to season'. It's amazing to me how many RB's these days have a great year only to be followed by a less that great year. And I'm not buying the 'wear and tear is worse today' argument. IOW... "Show we can run in 2020 then hit them with the pass in 2021".
RB's just seem to fade too quickly these days, with a few exceptions, of course. - JamesJM
