If the Titans don't pay up for Henry, someone else will... but reading that article it's pretty clear running back is a tough to try and figure out how and what to pay them.
At the time the Rams paid Gurley, they rewarded him for being the best (non QB )offensive player in the NFL, unfortunately he broke down, but I still think he is very salvageable
