Jeaux Goodberry - @JoeGoodberry: Some interesting Marcus Peters' numbers in Kansas City and Baltimore vs his time in Los Angeles.
Catch percentage allowed:
KC: 54.8%
LA: 67.6%
Bal: 56.5%
Passer Rating:
KC: 65.2
LA: 106.3
Bal: 69.8
I think that's all just a simple effect of him trying to play man in that stretch in 2018.
Thats a function of coaches not playing to his strengths.
Could be part of the reason Wade is gone.
Every time someone spots something they don't like it will be "the reason Wade is gone."
Meanwhile slow down and notice that the Rams are exceptionally deep at CB and we know that because both Hill and Wms played exceptionally well.
To be fair Peters thought he could change up too. He didn't and they fixed it. One result of that was the only postseason game where Brady did not throw a TD since 2006.
Being too simplistic about some negatives is not football analysis. It's just fan PTSD.
Hill and Williams played well for one year. And not even for a full year. Lets not put them in the ProBowl. They are nice pickups but they aren't high quality CBs.
And I don't care what a player thinks he can do. The old saying is players play, coaches coach. The coaches are responsible for putting players in the best situations, not the players.
Sometimes when it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it is a duck.
But there will always be someone who see the duck and hears the duck and says its not a duck, its a chicken.
