And I have no idea what Blythe would bring on the FA market, but anything over 2.5m is too much IMO for a guy that at his best is a middle of the road OC and a bottom 1/3rd RG.
I estimate that Blythe will sign somewhere very close to $2.5m. I'd do it. If Allen is not going to cut it, then a middle of the road OC for $2.5m is probably the best way to go.
They shouldn't go into the draft with an acute need at OC especially when you're saying that there won't be many good OCs available where they are drafting. They don't want to be forced to have to draft someone early.
