I agree on Blythe most likely being our center next year. He was a noticeable improvement from Allen and he would benefit from stronger play at the guard positions. He's going to check off two rather important boxes as we improve the OL next year. He's going to be cheap and he's a known commodity. I really think the answer would be totally different if we only had one or two holes to fill, but given the fact that 3 or more positions are in flux next year, staying with him may make the most sense for now as it would allow us to possibly spend our 2nd round pick on a different OL position or possible a C/G combo type of player.
I also openly wonder if there are going to be any thoughts of kicking Havenstein down to guard moving forward?? Speed and lateral movement seem to be his Achilles heel so I wonder if that type of transition was ever considered for him?
