Well, it’s possible that our best case scenario actually occurs.

Namely, Whit’s gone and Boom is 100%.
Corbett becomes our permanent starting LG.
Blythe is extended and plays well at C.
Edwards stays at RG.
Evans stays at RT.
Hav is somehow traded giving cap relief.

But, if all of the above doesn’t occur then it’s starts becoming trickier and trickier as more variables are introduced.

Myself, I would like to draft a stud C at #52 and be done with worrying about that position indefinitely. Blythe played better than Allen, but nobody’s calling him a stud there. If we get this stud C then Snead can just make developmental depth OL picks in the rest of the draft and focus on D needs.

Some have suggested Corbett as possible starting C. But then we create a hole at LG, don’t we?

I’m in the camp that thinks Boom should be ready by September, but what if there’s a setback? We can’t afford to gamble at LOT. And yet, I’m not in favor of extending Whit, even at $7-9 million. I think that he’s turned the corner and will only continue to backslide. Not crazy about moving either Edwards or Evans over to LOT until Boom is ready, though. Here again, a new temporary hole would have been created. Don’t know if there’s another player currently on the roster that they would trust to fill in temporarily at either RG or RT. ‘Course, if Hav remains then that’s a moot point.

Like I said, this could be very tricky depending on how they really feel about Corbett, Blythe, Allen, Whit, Boom’s health, and Hav. That enough variables for y’all? Lol.
