Constant tinkering with the NFL system is not the way to go.

The playoff system has worked, and continues to work, just fine. Sure you get some imbalances in some years; but no system anyone could devise will please everyone.

Often when you change something substantially, unintended consequences happen. Think the NFL has benefited from radically changing their replay system to where the booth can make calls or change calls on the field? I sure don't think so and it opens Pandora's Box to even wondering whey you need field "officials". They are quickly becoming field "monitors".

And BTW: the Rams will likely not make the playoffs and teams with worse records will. Not a thing wrong with that. The system is the system and everyone knows that going in.
