A pretty darned good assessment, max, imho anyway.

Time to re-evaluate everything.

Sure, the OL is the biggie. The ripple effects touch all things on Offense. Even affects the D because the O can’t stay on the field long enough to give the D a rest.

But there’s more going on than just the OL, I think. So I think that it’s fair to question everything and put all facets under a microscope. Not to fire or replace, necessarily, but rather to determine where the weak links are and make adjustments accordingly. Nobody should get an automatic pass based upon previous seasons alone.

Snead. Slow down with the blockbuster trades? Fixing the OL seems like Job 1 to me.
McVay. Back to basics might be a good idea, Sean. You’re being outcoached almost every week these days. That Raven game was hard to watch.
Wade. WTF happened last night? What kind of a ‘plan’ for Jackson was THAT? Is it time for Wade to retire?
Goff. I know it’s tough under these conditions, but you’ve gotta do better, man. ‘Nuff said.
Gurley. I’m in the camp that we need to plan for a future without Gurley. Great while it lasted, but he’s damaged goods now.
Whitworth. Thanks for the memories, but this is his last year. Period.
The entire OL. Gotta fix it. We need a dominant OL so if they have doubts about the youngsters then they’ve simply gotta devote resources to upgrades. The future is our ‘20 season. We can NOT go through another season on OL like this one.
Fowler. Don’t think he’s earned a big extension.
Matthews. I kinda watched him last night and he was a non-factor. Both Edge players disappointed, IOW.
Littleton. Would love to keep, but only if affordable.
Weddle. Loved the signing at the time, but I’m unimpressed with his on field production. Very well might not be here next year.
Brockers. Probably a cap casualty.

Look, I sure don’t want to throw the baby out with the bath water here and I know that there is a lot of talent on this roster. But when all is said and done, we are still 6-5 and just witnessed a thorough butt whipping 45-6 loss at home and virtual elimination from the playoffs just one season after a 13-3 SB appearance. That doesn’t happen in a vacuum.

The 49ers and the Ravens are two excellent examples of teams rising from the ashes and quickly becoming elite teams.

Were the Rams just a flash in the pan or can they once again become an elite type team? Show us.

Gotta look in the mirror and make some tough decisions this offseason and take action accordingly.
