gave up defensive play calling duties and they just stomped Brees into the ground. Now will that continue? Who knows, but it saved Dan Quinn's job for now. Now is McVays job in jeopardy? If he wants to call plays then he should have stuck to being an OC. If he wants the big chair, then maybe he needs to give up play calling and focus on what a head coach does: Being the head of an entire organization. Not just the head of the offense.
That doesn't mean he can't have his say or input. But another set of eyes could not hurt. At least an outside consultant couldn't hurt. Look at what the Vikings are doing this year on offense and how they have improved over last year and they hired an offensive consultant. (Gary Kubiak fyi)
