Here's the thing. For years now I have read all these posts talking about how qbs can still play behind broken OLs. --->THE REALITY<-- is that examples of ones who actually have done so is few and far between. Every now and then, someone tries to throw up an exception, and then act like that exception is the rule. And, of course it isn't.
Fact: you cripple an OL and with the vast majority of qbs, they go down with the OL.
So again, great for Mahomes and his numbers. In a losing effort by an exceptional and rare type of qb. Give him a solid OL and maybe they would have beaten the mediocre Titans. Who instead won with a relatively healthy OL and Tannenhill at qb (who threw 19 times for 181 yards.)
It was the Chiefs porous run defense and turnovers that led to their loss.
My point is that Goff has played bad lately and he has flaws that are exploited by a bad OL. Yeah, Mahomes is a rare talent, but that doesn't excuse Goff for playing this bad. He needs to get the ball out quicker and more accurately. He's getting paid a lot of money to be playing this poorly.
What is best in life? To crush your enemies, see them driven before you and to hear the lamentations of their women.
