So I don't understand your comment about D coordinator.
The D played very well yesterday and great against the run.
The Anemic O and 4 turnovers lost the game. I'm sorry Goff Fan boys, but he was the main reason the O was terrible, not the O line. I'm not a Goff hater, but he was overall inaccurate and couldn't even throw a swing or screen pass with any touch. If I was McVay, I would have Goff practice with pressure in his face. He lacks improvisational skills in the pocket and with the regression of the O line things aren't going to get any better unless he can learn to get the ball out quickly and accurately.
Goff had Steelers in his face all game long. The Ram OL was generally ineffective all game long. Gawd!
Few, if any QB’s could have had a good day under those conditions.
Fix the freaking OL and 90% of our woes will disappear.
I watched Mahomes have a great day yesterday with a patch work OL.
My point is, Goff needs to improve when the pressure is on for this teams offense to improve. Dan Marino was slow, but his footwork in the pocket was exceptional and he had a lightning quick release that was accurate. There are many examples of QB's that have slow 40 times, but they move well in the pocket. Goff needs to work on his footwork in the pocket and/or at least throw with better anticipation, accuracy and touch on short to intermediate passes.
When Goff has time and he's in rhythm, he's a very accurate intermediate/deep passer. The problem is, he's not getting the time and protection that's in his comfort zone. I don't see protection getting any better this season, so his weaknesses are really standing out.
