King has great connections. He can talk to Demoff and Kroenke and Polian and other big names, so he has an advantage over other guys who know a lot more about the Rams.
Still, he does provide stuff that we cant get from others like the connection between the guys in our FO.
Heres where King misses.
He doesn't get football stuff like the value of Ramsey to the Rams hope in a playoff run. Remember how Amari Cooper burnt us in the playoff game last year? Remember how Thielen burnt us in Minny 2 years ago? And how about DAdams of the Packers? These are all guys who Ramsey will shut down. And that will make a huge difference in beating those teams once we get to the playoffs. I guess someone needs to tell King that cause he cant figure it out for himself.
And his statement that the Rams may let Kupp go is preposterous. Barring injury there is a zero chance that McVay lets Kupp go. What that does show is how shallow King's understanding of the Rams is.
I don't think his statement about Kupp was preposterous at all. Kupp was just an example. It was a general point that was about more than Kupp.
The point is, by adding Ramsey in, they will lose somebody good. Some good players are going to walk and they'll have to be content with getting a high comp pick.
Is that good player Kupp? Is it Littleton? Fowler? Everett who is emerging? Will they have to trade Cooks to keep Kupp?
I think there is more than a zero chance that any of these guys could end up leaving including Kupp.
