Kromer has described him as just not being ready. That does not mean they missed on the pick. By that same logic Corbert can't be any good because he hasn't started since being drafted high in 2018.
That's not rare. Where a lineman has to develop and isn't ready in year one. He just ends up on the redshirt list. To draw an example from the other side of the ball, as of last year Joseph-Day wasn't ready either but took a leap in the off-season.
Jackie Slater didn't see the field till his 4th year (well actually he had one game in 3 years before 79). I actually remember LA sports writers calling him a bust early in his career.
