and he was a 3rd round pick for us....that hurt to miss on that pick as it was a sourly needed area.
Bobby Evans must really be BAD...ugh.
That's why Corbett and Young are not expected to do much but provide better depth than what we have. If we upgraded with those 3 trades yesterday...then that's a good thing. The cost of Ramsey is really a 1st and 4th ...cuz I would spend a #1 pick on trading for him anyway...so, it's just another #1 and a 4th to get a proven player at a position of need. We'll see how things shake out, but I'm relieved we have Ramsey at CB and a player THAT good.
I suspect the Rams will do what the Seahwaks always do when their offense isn't working..they just resort to running the ball 40x a game until the PA starts to be effective all while playing decent defense. Then, they slowly start winning games and getting their mojo back - they've been doin that for years now and it works.
I think McVay starts doin that same thing and just refocuses. Our OL was never super.imo McVay's scheme just bought Goff time with the PA fakes and allowed for our passing game to thrive. We just need to scheme around this OL we have to buy some more time for Goff to settle down. McVay has to give Goff more intermediate/short options so that when he hits the top of his drop...Goff hits the open guy....or throws it away. I'm a little surprised McVay hasn't changed things up more to help the OL out...by getting the ball out faster. Those crowded bunch WR sets we run should allow for quick hooks and getting guys open very quickly....and needs to be taken advantage of. Goff is holding the ball too long and not just throwing it away.
Now we just need to use the 2nd/3rd rounds to draft OL & DL.
