I suspect you might get some debate on that statement. Truth is I've never seen a more accurate passer under pressure than Warner-and I've been watching qbs long before you were born. He was also known as one of the top qbs around in reading defenses from the LOS. Goff appears to not have developed that skill yet as he knows who to throw to coming out of the huddle and that's it !Right now Goff is not accurate on his deep throws especially when under pressure. Warner-he ain't.

I love me some Kurt Warner, he is my all time favorite Ram, But.......you gotta remember what KW was doing at the age of 24, it wasn't leading a team to a Super Bowl, he was leading the graveyard crew stocking shelves at the HiVee market.

Time will tell what Goff will become, but I gotta good feeling he will be pretty damn good by the time he is 28

Actually, at 24 KW was tearing up the Arena League. While it is fair to keep Goff's age in perspective, I think it's also fair to point out that Warner fought his way to the NFL rather than being born into wealth and the grandson of the 49ers GM.

One path was a LOT easier than the other.

Actually Warner was trying out with the Packers at 23-24 and was scared to get out there and take a rep.... read his book, it's a great read!!!

You're right, I did confuse McVay's grandpa with Goff's. Goff's favorite team was the 49ers though and I still don't understand how his favorite player was someone who retired before he was even born.

As far as Warner, at 24 he was on the Barnstormers(1995, born in '71). He was with the Packers in '94. But the point remains, if he'd been born and played HS ball for a powerful state champion instead of bumfluck Iowa, he'd have had more opportunities.
