Kupp and ACL tear question.

Over the years, I have heard so many things about these injuries. I have heard that it ALL depends on if it is a clean or more jagged tear as to how well recoup time is...if at all. I have even heard some say that if clean and rehabed right, after surgery, it can almost be stronger than before?? I'm ignorant on this. Any input?
